Seasonal Workers Needed at Lantmännen Plant Breeding in Svalöv 2025

Lantmännen Plant Breeding in Svalöv is looking for seasonal workers for the 2025 season.

The plant breeding in Svalöv works on developing new varieties of agricultural crops such as wheat, oats, rye, barley, field beans, peas, grass, and clover. Every year we have 140 hectares of trials distributed over more than 70,000 plots in Svalöv and we cultivate in 8,000 m2 of greenhouses.

Your Responsibilities

Together with other breeding workers, team leaders, plant breeders, permanent and seasonal employees at the Breeding Station, you will sow, maintain, and harvest variety trials and early seed propagations, both manually and with machines. Maintenance includes everything from fertilization to manual weeding and grading. The work takes place both in the fields, indoors, and in greenhouses.

What You Need to Succeed and Enjoy

You have:

• an agricultural education, ongoing or completed, or a strong interest in crop cultivation
• a B driver's license if you are over 18 years old
• good knowledge of the Swedish language

You are:

• meticulous and appreciate order and cleanliness
• a team player who can collaborate with others in your environment, but also prepared to work independently
• reliable and unpretentious
• at least 16 years old in 2025 (according to the Work Environment Act)

What We Offer

Work during the summer until the harvest ends in September. We offer both longer (March-October) and shorter (June-August) employment.

Working hours: Weekdays 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Overtime and weekend work may occur as needed, for those who are over 18 years old. Salary and overtime compensation according to collective agreements.

You will work at the Breeding Station in Svalöv and report to the Station Manager.
